Tree Maintenance
Crown Thinning
Crown thinning - to reduce the height of the tree and spread of the canopy. Great skill and expertise is required during the crown thinning process, it involves us evenly removing a percentage of the canopy in order to reduce the density of the tree. This could be to achieve more light or to reduce the weight on limbs of the tree. This is the most beneficial to maintain the health of the tree whist being the most affective to reduce weight stresses and keep that natural canopy shape.
The aim is to result in more light passing through into your home or onto your land, wind resistance is diminished and the growth rate will reduce; ultimately the form of the tree is improved.
